Welcome to Qathiya (the “Platform”), a lawyer directory and legal information platform operated by Qathiya, located in Kuwait (the “Company”).
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
1. Platform Description
Qathiya is a lawyer directory and legal information platform designed to help individuals and organizations discover and review profiles of licensed legal professionals across different areas of legal practice.
The Platform provides informational listings of lawyers and law firms to facilitate public access to professional legal profiles.
Qathiya does not provide legal representation, legal services, or legal advice.
2. No Legal Advice
The information provided on the Platform is for informational purposes only.
Nothing on the Platform constitutes legal advice, legal consultation, or legal representation.
Qathiya does not evaluate individual legal matters, provide legal opinions, or apply legal rules to specific circumstances.
If you require legal advice regarding a particular issue, you should consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
3. Lawyer Directory
The lawyer directory is intended to help visitors identify licensed lawyers practicing in Kuwait.
All information displayed on lawyer profiles is provided by the lawyers themselves or collected during the verification process.
Qathiya does not endorse, recommend, or guarantee the services of any lawyer listed on the Platform.
Users are responsible for conducting their own independent evaluation before hiring any lawyer.
4. Lawyer Listing and Verification
Lawyers cannot register directly on the Platform.
Lawyer profiles are created and managed by the Company following a verification process.
To be listed in the directory, lawyers must:
be licensed to practice law in Kuwait
be registered with the Kuwait Bar Association
provide valid identification documentation, including civil identification or passport
The Company reserves the right to verify professional credentials and may request additional information when necessary.
The Company may refuse, remove, or suspend a lawyer listing at its sole discretion.
5. Law Firm Profiles
The Platform may include law firm profiles, which are represented as groups within the directory.
Lawyers may be associated with one or more law firm profiles where applicable.
Law firm information is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute endorsement by the Company.
6. Visitor Use of the Platform
Visitors may browse the directory and review lawyer profiles without creating an account.
Access to the directory is provided as a public informational resource.
Visitors agree to use the Platform lawfully and not to:
misuse the Platform
attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
interfere with the operation of the Platform
use the Platform for unlawful purposes
7. Subscription Arrangements
Qathiya may offer subscription arrangements to lawyers who wish to be listed or featured within the directory.
Subscription arrangements are managed directly by the Company and are not processed through the Platform.
Details regarding subscription options may be provided directly by the Company during the onboarding process.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, design elements, and trademarks, is the property of the Company or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or publicly display any content from the Platform without the prior written permission of the Company.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
The Company makes no warranties or representations regarding:
the accuracy of information on the Platform
the availability or uninterrupted operation of the Platform
the qualifications, competence, or services of any lawyer listed on the Platform
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company disclaims all warranties, express or implied.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from or related to your use of the Platform.
This includes, but is not limited to:
direct or indirect damages
loss of data or profits
reliance on information provided on the Platform
disputes between users and lawyers
Any interaction between users and lawyers occurs independently of the Platform.
11. Termination
The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform or remove any lawyer listing at any time and for any reason, including violations of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Kuwait.
Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuwait.
13. Changes to the Terms
The Company may update or revise these Terms at any time.
Updated Terms will be published on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
